Vintage Czech Bohemian Lead Crystal 24K Gold Gilt Hand-Painted Art Glass Vase

Beautiful hand-painted Bohemian high relief enamel floral crystal art glass bud vase. Pure 24K gold was used to decorate the ruby/cranberry glass, applied to the glass with a brush in a liquid state and then fired in special electric or gas furnaces. After firing, embossed layers in the shape of arabesques and floral motifs are gradually applied to the base layer of gold, obtained by repeated firings and by applying additional layers. The application and firing process is usually repeated four times, for more complex decors even more times. Glass paints are basically ground low-melting glasses. The painter must mix the paint perfectly with the binder, then apply the paint on the cleaned glass and burn it according to the type of paint and glass at a temperature of 540 - 580 degrees.   This is an excellent example of fine Bohemian craftsmanship! Perfect as a single-stem display or elegant decorative accent. Gold and rose colors brighten tabletops and mantels.
