Description
Antique set of three (3) porcelain leaf shaped dishes marked LS&S Carlsbad Austria for Lewis Strauss & Sons importers, New York. LS&S imported fine European porcelain into the United States roughly between 1895 and 1917, dating these pieces to the early 1900s era. Carlsbad (now Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic) was one of the major porcelain production centers in the Austro-Bohemian region, known for fine export china during the late 1800s and early 1900s. Each dish features delicate pastel floral decoration with gold gilt trim and molded leaf veining detail. Classic European export porcelain styling from the turn of the century. Great for candy, nuts, trinkets, vanity use, or antique china display. You will receive the exact three dishes shown. Condition: Good antique condition overall. Light surface wear and age-related specks visible. Minor gold trim wear consistent with age. No major cracks or large chips observed in photos. From a smoke free home!
