Polar Lights The Go Kart Model Kit 1999 Sealed #5029 Wacky Godzilla Plastic

Manufacturer: Polar Lights (Playing Mantis) Release Year: 1999 Details: 1/12 scale plastic assembly kit featuring a monster driving a custom go-kart, originally styled after Godzilla before licensing adjustments for this late-90s issue. This specific 1999 version (Model #5029) is a highly collectible reissue based on the legendary 1966 Wacky Godzilla Go-Cart mold by Aurora. Due to copyright licensing constraints at the time of this 1999 production run, Polar Lights had to alter the name to simply The Go Cart and modify the packaging and monster details—such as giving the creature a helmet and removing prominent back spikes—to avoid explicitly using the Godzilla name.
