Vintage Signed G. Whitman Original Oil Mountain Landscape in Ornate Frame

A wonderfully atmospheric vintage original oil painting depicting a snow-capped mountain rising beyond a quiet woodland landscape. Painted in a warm, romantic palette, the scene layers an alpine peak with autumnal trees, a rustic cabin, and a winding stream in the foreground. Textured brushwork throughout the mountain and landscape gives the composition depth and character.  The painting is signed G. Whitman at the lower right and retains an Artistic Interiors, Inc. “Certified Original Oil” label on the reverse, certification no. 472552.  History & Craftsmanship  This is an original oil painting on canvas rather than a print or reproduction. The traditional alpine subject and expressive palette-knife-style texture give it the character of a classic mid-to-late 20th-century decorative landscape.  The frame is especially striking: a substantial, layered wood frame combining warm burled brown tones with deep green-black detailing and a linen liner.
