Vintage‎ Soviet Wooden Vase

Vintage Soviet-era wooden vase from Zhigulevsk, Russia. Brown lacquer with carved design exposing raw wood beneath. This vintage wooden vase was crafted in the mid-20th century by the Zhigulevsk Art Products Factory in Russia, a renowned Soviet-era workshop celebrated for its distinctive carved lacquer technique. The vase is finished in a rich brown lacquer, with hand-carved oval and dash motifs cut through the surface to reveal the lighter raw wood beneath, creating a striking two-tone effect. The original Cyrillic paper label remains on the base, confirming its origin. Condition: Good vintage condition with light surface wear. A few small scratches on the exterior finish, consistent with age and normal use, do not detract from its display appeal. Lacquer remains glossy and the carved areas are clean and well-defined. Original label partially intact on base.
