The crinkled texture is part of the original patent-leather design. There is a small surface split/scratch in the patent finish near the upper front of the bag, as shown in the close-up photograph. Additional light marks, discoloration, handle darkening, edge wear and normal hardware patina are present.  The noted area appears cosmetic and does not affect the bag’s structure or use.
