Yashica Lynx-14 Camera Fast ƒ1.4 Lens! Rare Working Vintage 1960s Film Camera
Yashica
With this rare, clean, working 35mm film rangefinder camera it is all about the lens! It was a favorite of Vietnam War photographers for its available light abilities and that it didn't need batteries to operate. The vintage Yashica IC Lynx-14 has a super fast 1:1.4, 45mm lens and came out in the 1960s. Serial number 9031636. Hefty and well-balanced, it uses readily available 35mm film in color and B&W. This is the only vintage rangefinder I could find with an ƒ1.4 lens, except the Nikon S line, which is very pricey. The Yashinon-DX lens is clean and scratch free. Comes with a Hoya 58mm UV(0) filter. The Copal-SVE leaf shutter works perfectly with speeds from 1/500 to 1 second plus Bulb and Self-Timer. The apertures run from ƒ1.4 to ƒ16. The viewfinder is slightly hazy, and the rangefinder works well. The batteries are not needed because this is a mechanical shutter. The battery compartment looks corroded and is untested, so you will need the light meter app on your phone. Also included is the original Yashica molded leather field case with neck strap. Case has scuffs but is very good otherwise. An expired roll of Tri-X B&W film is added too. I ship to USA ONLY!
