1847 Rogers Bros
Condition Good antique pre-owned condition with age-related surface scratches, marks, tarnish and wear consistent with use. The detailed pattern remains attractive and the maker's marks are clearly visible. Please review photos carefully for condition. Description Beautiful antique 1847 Rogers Bros A1 silverplate serving spoon in the highly decorative Siren pattern, introduced in 1891. The design features an ornate Art Nouveau-style floral handle and a large shell-fluted serving bowl. Marked 1847 ROGERS BROS A1 along with the circular Meriden Britannia trademark. Meriden Britannia became part of International Silver in 1898. Combined with the 1891 introduction of the Siren pattern, the early trademark strongly points to 1890s production, likely circa 1891–1898. A1 denotes the silverplate grade/quality and is not a date. A beautiful late-Victorian serving piece for use, display, or an antique silverplate collection. 1847 Rogers Bros, Siren pattern, antique silverplate, Victorian silverware, 1890s flatware, Art Nouveau flatware, Meriden Britannia, antique serving spoon, silverplate serving spoon, shell bowl spoon, floral flatware, ornate silverware, antique tableware, Victorian serving ware, Rogers Bros A1, collectible flatware
