Vintage 1971 Timex Mercury Men's Mechanical Watch – Ref. 16160 2471  Vintage Timex Mercury men's wristwatch dating to approximately 1971, featuring a classic rectangular TV-style gold-tone case and silver/champagne dial.  Dial code appears to read 16160 2471.  Details: Mechanical manual-wind movement, gold-tone base-metal bezel, stainless-steel back, applied black/gold hour markers, acrylic crystal, and burgundy leather strap.  Condition: Watch is NOT RUNNING and is being sold AS-IS for parts, repair, restoration, or collection. The movement has not been serviced or professionally inspected, and the cause of the non-running condition is unknown.  The crystal has scratches and surface wear. Dial shows spotting/patina from age. Case has scratches, discoloration and plating wear. Leather strap shows substantial wear, cracking and deterioration near the lugs and will likely need replacement.  No guarantees are made regarding the movement or what repairs may be required.
