Hinola is a product developed for total oral care, containing the medicinal ingredients hinokitiol*1 (antibacterial), IPMP (isopropyl methylphenol)*2 (antiseptic), and dipotassium glycyrrhizate*3 (anti-inflammatory). It is effective in preventing gingivitis, periodontitis (pyorrhea), cavities, bad breath, and refreshing and cleansing the mouth. It is also formulated as a gel without foaming agents, allowing those who have difficulty gargling to remove dirt with a wet wipe or similar.
*1 Hinokitiol is an ingredient discovered in 1936 from the essential oil of Taiwanese cypress. It possesses antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as penetration power. Its antibacterial effect increases with contact time, and it is a medicinal ingredient that is said to rarely cause the emergence of resistant bacteria.
*2 IPMP (isopropyl methylphenol) is a medicinal ingredient with strong bactericidal activity and excellent penetration into biofilms.
*3 Dipotassium glycyrrhizate is an ingredient found in the traditional Japanese medicine licorice, and it is a medicinal ingredient with anti-inflammatory effects.
