About TENDER Leather:
This is a shoulder leather manufactured by Lo Stivale in the Santa Croce sull'Arno district of Tuscany, Italy. It features a smooth surface and thickness, made from bullhide.
Bullhide, particularly from the shoulder, is characterized by its extreme thickness and coarse fiber structure. The Vacchetta method ensures it is well-oiled, resulting in a finish that feels substantial and supple.
While bullhide might evoke an image of a rough grain, TENDER has a fine texture. The dye finish creates natural color variations, making it suitable for creating elegant and sophisticated pieces.
Furthermore, it has undergone back treatment and pressing, which further compacts the fibers, making it exceptionally well-suited for polished edges.
