Description

These are commonly found in the Rio Negro and Rio Solim?es river systems in the Amazon basin of Brazil. They were purchased at a floating market when I visited Manaus, a major city in the Amazon. Each measures 9 cm in diameter. The backs are lined with green and blue felt. One is a juvenile piranha embedded in resin, and the other is a medium-sized piranha cut diagonally and embedded in resin. Recently, customs inspections for export and import have become very strict, making it difficult to bring them out. If you are interested, please consider them. Thank you for viewing until the end.
