Tokyo Daijingu Happiness Granting Charm
Tokyo Daijingu Shrine - Lucky Charm for Wishes
This charm is specially handcrafted in Ise. The sacred hemp material, said to ward off evil spirits, is used along with vermilion, the color of disaster prevention. All the knots are tied in the auspicious Kana Musubi (wish knot).
Founded in 1880 as a shrine for remote worship of Ise Jingu in Tokyo, it is affectionately known as Ise-sama of Tokyo. It is also the shrine where Shinto weddings originated, and it continues to uphold this traditional wedding ceremony. Furthermore, as it enshrines the three deities of creation who govern the power of binding, it is also known for its blessings of matchmaking, attracting many visitors who wish for good relationships.
