◇ This is a good luck charm from Toka Ebisu Shrine, dedicated to Ebisu and Daikoku, located in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka Prefecture.
This is a large Medetai (a pun on medetai meaning auspicious and tai meaning sea bream) Hariko figurine, said to bring prosperity in business, good fortune, and perseverance to achieve one's goals.
Received as a gift during the New Year Grand Festival held every January.
The Toka Ebisu Grand Festival is very popular in Hakata for its special blessings for business prosperity.
It has been carefully displayed on a shelf, but I am now offering it to those who are interested.
Overall, I believe it is in beautiful condition, but there are some minor tears on the attached paper and small paint chips. (Please check the photos.)
