Vintage MCM Bascal Anodized Aluminum Pitcher 8 inches

This is a total Retro Vibe. This Mid Century Modern anodized aluminum pitcher was produced by Italian company, Bascal during the 1950's and 1960's. I can still see a pitcher full of Kool Aid at my aunt's home back when I was a kid. The finish is a sunset gold color and the handle is black Bakelite. These pitchers were often accompanied by colorful tumblers and were perfect companions for patio get togethers. The pitcher is 8 3/4 tall and 5 1/4 in diameter. This pitcher does show signs of it's age...some very light scratches near the bottom. The inside of the pitcher has some pitting which is the result of an acidic liquid sitting in the pitcher for too long causing this oxidation. Although it may be safe to drink from, I would recommend that this is now a decorative piece. There is one very small ding on the bottom which I have pointed out in the last photo. This a super fun blast from the past.
