Summerdays Montgomery Ward Vintage 12.5" Chop Plate (Round Platter) Preowned EUC

Summerdays My ontgomery Ward Vintage 12.5 Chop Plate (Round Platter) Preowned EUC This plate is made of ironstone, which is a durable, heavy type of vitreous earthenware ceramic. While it looks similar to porcelain, it has a distinct set of characteristics common to 1960s and 1970s mid-century casual dinnerware Durability: Ironstone was formulated to be much stronger, thicker, and more chip-resistant than delicate fine china, making it ideal for everyday family use. Appearance: It has an opaque white body with a smooth, glossy protective glaze that seals the screen-printed yellow wildflower design underneath. Care Instructions: The backstamp on this collection specifies that it is both dishwasher safe and microwave safe, which is typical for vintage ironstone manufactured during this era. Pattern Highlights Design Detail: It features a minimalist, bright yellow wildflower motif (resembling dill or wild mustard flowers) set against delicate green grass stems on a clean white porcelain background. Production Era: This discontinued mid-century collection was popular during the late 1960s through the 1970s. Usage: The 12 round chop plate functions perfectly as a circular serving platter for main dishes, appetizers, or pastries. In very good vintage condition. Please see photos for detailed condition.
